Jason Elliot Perreira

Plays bass, guitar, vocals.

Lou DiFlorioComing from a family and culture in which music is like water, it was just a matter of time before the notes claimed Jay to represent them. Supportive parents with a great and eclectic record collection, uncles in calypso bands in the early heyday of Toronto's music scene, and musicians for neighbors and friends, provided the many varied influences that combined to make Jay a willing hostage of the rhythms, melodies, and harmonies of the world.

Starting with guitar at the age of 7, and a performing debut at St. Florence elementary school as the youngest instrumentalist, Jason began a musical odyssey that would take him through many different instruments, styles, circumstances and locales. A journey that continues to this day.

Current fixations include: Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, Ed Bickert, James Jamerson, John Coltrane, and Charlie Kaufman movies.

Jason plays: Anything he's told to.
